Dr. Jake Triggs Dr. Jake Triggs is a new DVM at Highlands-Eldorado Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Triggs was born and raised in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and attended Mississippi State University for Undergraduate and Veterinary School. His professional interests include surgery, dentistry, and wound management. Dr. Triggs has a special interest in orthopedic and advanced soft tissue surgery, and is one of a few General Practitioners in DFW that performs TPLO surgery for ACL tears. His favorite thing about veterinary medicine is providing care that can improve the quality of life for his patients. Dr. Triggs also serves on the board for the Collin County Veterinary Medical Association. Outside of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Triggs enjoys exercising and spending time outdoors with his family. Dr. Triggs and his wife, Megan, have a son named Lee, and a Cane Corso named Vinny.
Dr. Regina Feltrin Dr. Regina Feltrin was born and raised in Brotas, a small town in São Paulo State, Brazil. Dr. Feltrin earned her Veterinary Medical Degree from Centro Universitário Fundação de Ensino Octavio Bastos (UNIFEOB) in São João da Boa Vista, Brazil. From here, she went on to complete an Equine Medicine Internship at Weems and Stephens Equine Hospital, and a Small Animal Medicine Internship at Highlands Eldorado Veterinary Hospital. Fast forward to 2023, Dr. Feltrin is now an Associate Veterinarian at Highlands Eldorado Veterinary Hospital after acquiring her licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Texas. Her areas of professional interest include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, and cardiology. Overall, Dr. Feltrin loves to be able to help her patients feel better. Dr. Feltrin speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish. She lives on a ranch with her husband, Murilo, who is also from Brazil, their dog, horse, and four cows. When Dr. Feltrin is not in the office, she spends time running, working out, and enjoying her family.
Dr. Wesley Taylor A native of North Texas, Dr. Wesley Taylor has been passionate about caring for animals since his start in the veterinary field in 1980. After attending Rice University for undergrad in 1988, he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A & M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1995. Dr. Taylor’s areas of professional interest include orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, cardiology and working in police K-9 medicine. In addition to his practice responsibilities, he serves as the President of the Texas Police K-9 Foundation. For the past 20 years he’s lived on a ranch north of McKinney with his wife, Alicia. They enjoy spending time with all of their animals, including four dogs, three horses and a one-eyed mockingbird.
